On occasion of the presentation of Fabulae Naturae on 2 May 2015, the Ermenegildo Zegna Group and heritage trust FAI – Fondo Ambiente Italiano – have launched a campaign to collect funds for the conservation of the Punta Mesco promontory (in the province of La Spezia) by means of the sale of 500 valuable plates in Royal Limoges porcelain, signed by the artists Lucy + Jorge Orta.
The campaign will make it possible to plant a section of a row of vines for every plate sold. The donor’s name will be linked to each of the vines, as part of the project for improving the rural and agricultural location Case Lovara, a site of community interest within the Punta Mesco area, part of the Cinque Terre Park.
The porcelain plates are a limited edition, personalized with floral motifs inspired by the Heberlein Collection in the Zegna Archive, a series of valuable textiles exhibited for the first time in the exhibition Flower landscapes. Tessuti. Fiori. Ricette (Flower landscapes. Textiles. Flowers. Recipes) presented at Casa Zegna in Trivero (province of Biella), open every Sunday from 17 May to 28 June, and from 6 to 27 September 2015, from 2pm to 6pm.
Each plate is available in return for a donation of 250 euro, and can be purchased on the website http://www.fondoambiente.it or by calling the number +39 02 4676 15207.
