Lucy + Jorge Orta, Fabulae Naturae

On occasion of EXPO MILANO 2015, on Saturday 2 May the Ermenegildo Zegna Group presented a new episode in the ZegnArt Special Project.

Fabulae Naturae is a work by the artists Lucy + Jorge Orta, specially commissioned for the Group’s Headquarters in Via Savona, Milan. The project was curated by Maria Luisa Frisa, who had already worked with the duo in 2012 for ZegnArt during Fabulae Romanae at the MAXXI Museum, Rome.

Fabulae Naturae is an installation and a multi-sensorial performance, a harmonious combination of visual, audio and musical elements accompanied by a food performance by star-awarded chef Davide Oldani.

The project will also comprise the production of 500 plates, a limited edition in Royal Limoges porcelain personalized by Lucy + Jorge Orta, inspired by the Archivio Zegna – Fondo Heberlein, and offered to the public for a fund-raising project in cooperation with heritage trust FAI and more specifically for the protection of the Punta Mesco promontory in the province of La Spezia.
